Noise attenuation

Sound absorbing baffles are installed in front of the air inlets and/or above the air outlets. The baffles consist of seawater resistant aluminum frames with mineral wool fillings covered with protection foils and aluminum perforated sheets. The baffle width, spacing and depths are determined exactly in accordance with the admissible noise emissions.

Impingement baffles above the water surfaces of the cold water basins reduce water splash noises from the air inlets by upto  7 dB(A). We offer three designs: Modules from rooflike wooden boards with or without “Enkasonic” silencing mats for larger cooling towers, drift eliminator modules for smaller cooling towers and a very effective floating design from rigid foam covered with “Enkasonic” mats.
